FLOWER POINT
Lincoln County - Kootenai National Forest - 30N-32W-13
September 11, 1930: "Grant Harley is showing pictures of another high lookout station completed last week by crews of the Libby district of the Kootenai forest. The picture shows the station perched on the top of a tall pine tree and Harley says it is 88 feet from the ground. It is on Flower Point, between Parmenter and Flower creeks, and claims the distinction of being the highest station on the forest. Harry Cooper is the man who spends his time there carefully scanning the district for the first signs of any fire that may break out." (The Western News)
