May 17, 1922: "Fifteen miles of telephone line will be built from Newland creek station to connect the Castle mountains line with the main line at White Sulphur Springs and seven miles of line will be constructed from Four Mile ranger station to the forestry lookout station on Elk Peak, the summit of the Castle Mountains."
