WOLF MOUNTAIN
Big Horn County - Crow Indian Agency
July 19, 1956: "A lightning-set fire in the Wolf Mountains was controlled after fire fighters battled the blaze for four hours. Firefighting equipment from the Millers and Stork, Inc., ranches was rushed to the scene.
The fire first was sighted from the Wolf Mountain lookout station on top of the Wold Mountains and reported to the station in Crow Agency. However, all fire fighting equipment in Crow Agency was battling two other fires on the reservation so the information was relayed to the Miller ranch." (The Billings Gazette)

April 8, 1992: "A 30-year-old Lodge Grass man charged with second degree murder in the death of a drinking companion made his first court appearance on the federal charge Monday before U.S. Magistrate Richard Anderson in Billings.
Dennis P. Gonzales, also known as Dennis Old Dwarf, was arrested Sunday after Bureau of Indian Affairs officers and FBI located the battered body of Clayton Big Hair, 21, at Wolf Mountain Lookout southeast of Lodge Grass. Gonzales will remain in the Yellowstone County jail at least until Thursday when a bond hearing is scheduled.
Big Hair was beaten to death with a stick Friday after several hours of drinking with Gonzales and others. A BIA officer learned of the death Sunday from the grandmother of witness Mike Horn. Horn led the officers to the body on Sunday evening.
